What do you do at Adara?
I am the Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager based out of Palo Alto. Oh, does interior decorator count?
What is the biggest day to day challenge you face in your role, and how do you try to overcome that?
Managing expectations, both mine and others. My job can be a bit of an unknown to people. It can seem like what I do is magic but it’s really just a lot of hard work and creativity. I take each project I do very seriously, no matter how big or small it is, I want to give each project ample time without rushing, so that it can be as attractive as possible! Realistically, this isn’t always the case, I can’t give every project as much time as I would like. So I prioritize the best I can, and try to set those expectations up front with whomever I work with.
What is the biggest challenge you face in the next 12 months and how are you preparing to face it?
Rebuilding Adara.com! Although it’s a daily challenge, it’s one of the most engaging projects I’ve ever worked on. I’m learning a ton, and getting to work closely with some great people to make our new site functional AND beautiful. By the end we will have something we are proud to share!
What do you love about working in the travel sector?
I love working in Travel because I truly believe it’s one of the most important things we can do in life. For me, it’s vital that I work on something I believe in, or the passion just isn’t there.
What is your favorite holiday destination?
Anywhere with mountains, preferably somewhere with rock climbing.
What is your #1 Bucket list travel destination?
I really want to backpack Southeast Asia. I love to cook, so I want to travel there and learn to cook authentic cuisine with native ingredients.
What are the three things you would take with you to a deserted island?
Brandon (my partner), my Cat and Ukulele.
